How StayInHonnavar began
StayInHonnavar started the way the best things on this coast do — with family, a home by the water and a deep love for Honnavar. For years our family has lived beside the Sharavati backwaters, watching the sun rise over the mangroves and welcoming friends with hot chai and home-cooked Konkan food.
When travellers began discovering our quiet corner of Uttara Kannada, we realised many were after exactly what we already had — a clean, comfortable, friendly place to stay, away from the crowds, with someone local to show them around. So we opened our doors, room by room, and grew into three homestays in Honnavar for every kind of traveller and budget.
Because the backwaters are our backyard, we also take guests out on the water ourselves — sunrise rides through the mangrove tunnels to the famous “Kerala Spot”. Today, whether you come for a beach escape, a temple trail or just a slow weekend by the river, our family looks after every part of your trip personally.
